Earlier this morning, Art Bennett passed away in his sleep. Art ran sound & lights for CAROLINE BLUE thru most of the band’s live shows in 2009-10 and CB couldn’t have accomplished anywhere near as much as we did in those years without him and all the help that he provided. In a lot of ways, he was the “4th” member of that lineup of CAROLINE BLUE. R.I.P. Art…
-It’s been quite awhile since CAROLINE BLUE performed live. The last time at THE FUSION ROOM was early 2011. This was a 4 band show including POETRY IN BLACK, UNDER MIND & ZEN KURA-all of who did a great job with their sets. For this show, CAROLINE BLUE consisted of me, Cassandra Hayes on bass & Travis Walker on drums. The set list was all CB originals and was the following

-It was great to meet up with some old friends-as well as make some new ones this night. I want to give thanks to all the people who came out, as well as all the bands we shared the stage with. In addition, thanks also to Sam & Tony from Fusions for treating us so well plus Brett for running sound. NEW SHOW-CAROLINE BLUE will be opening for Poetry in Black (Metal) at Fusions in North Syracuse, NY on Saturday May, 4 2013. Other bands include Dead End (80’s metal) and Tyranitar (Viking Metal). We’ll be putting up an event page for this as the date gets closer. Hope to see you all there! 🙂

-Interesting little tidbit for Droid cell phone owners (maybe others too, but since I use a Droid…). One of the free apps you can get at the Google Play Store is called the “Heavy Metal Encyclopedia.” So why is it being mentioned here? CAROLINE BLUE is listed as one of the bands in there-albeit only existing between 2005-2007. Both CDs are pictured in there though. I’m not sure how CB got listed but it’s most appreciated! 🙂
-After being in the #2 slot for many years, CAROLINE BLUE has just reached the #1 spot on the Reverbnation Rock Charts for Syracuse, NY 🙂 Thanks to everyone who helped CB reach this!
-After being mentioned for quite awhile ( a few years to be honest), the CAROLINE BLUE website is finally starting to get an overhaul. Considering the size of this thing, one might say that this is a herculean task to perform. However, work has already begun on another site that, while retaining much of the feel and look of this site, will also be more modern and streamlined-that’s the idea anyways. Once this is done, then the focus can once again be on moving forward. When will this happen you ask? Well, you may ask… 🙂 All I can say is when it’s done it’s done-and anyone who knows me knows I’ll be doing my normal promo on it when it is.
