Caroline Blue es una banda de Hard Rock Melodico proveniente de Syracuse, New York. La banda ha sido descrita como similar al estilo de KISS, L.A Guns, Megadeth, Type 0 Negative, Dokken y Chevelle.
Así mismo cuenta con el vocalista/guitarrista Wayne Johnson a quien le he podido realizar algunas preguntas sobre la banda.
Lilith Beloved : He leído que ‘Caroline Blue’ proviene de un anuncio de emergencias medicas que viste en un lugar en el que trabajabas. ¿Has elegido ese nombre porque te gustaba o hubo otras opciones?
Wayne: El nombre ‘Caroline Blue’ vino de una tienda en la que solía trabajar. Los códigos a través de un intercomunicador se conocen como ‘Carolines’. Cada ‘Caroline’ tenia un color diferente, haciendo referencia a un tipo de emergencia. Entonces ‘Caroline Blue’ hacia referencia a una ‘Emergencia Medica’ , la ayuda debía ser necesaria e inmediata. Sin embargo todo esto no tiene nada que ver con la elección del nombre de la banda. Solo me gusto como sonaba el nombre, había quedado en mi cabeza. Habia algunos nombres mas rondando en mi cabeza, pero nada pegaba mejor como Caroline Blue.
LB: Caroline Blue parece ser como ‘tu bebe’ y has dicho que querías llegar lo mas lejos que pudieras. ¿Te sientes conforme con lo que es la banda hoy en día después de tanto esfuerzo?
Wayne: Pienso que esta bien decir que Caroline Blue es mi bebe, ya que soy el único miembro permanente. Si, estoy muy orgulloso de todo lo que la banda ha logrado hasta ahora. Tambien me gustaría decir que estoy agradecido por aquellas personas que han estado involucradas con Caroline Blue y han contribuido a que la banda progrese (y algunos de ellos me han ayudado a dar pasos hacia atrás).
LB: Has dicho de que al principio estabas involucrado con la música y mujeres ¿Cuales eran tus bandas?
Wayne: Cuando empece con la música, mis motivaciones eran la presión del grupo y las mujeres. En la universidad empece a entrar en la música por la música. Siempre he sido muy variado con la música. Mi banda favorita en aquellos tiempos era ( y sigue siendo) KISS. Tambien escuchaba Hard Rock / Metal de los ’80 y Top 40 todo el tiempo. Estoy mas dentro de las canciones que de los artistas o bandas.
LB: ¿Alguna experiencia de la banda?
Wayne: Caroline Blue tiene montones de experiencias. Una de ellas es la oportunidad que tuvimos de tocar en Ogdensburg, NY en el 2009. Tocamos en un club llamado Boneshakers en el que casi siempre entran mas de 200 personas. Tuvimos que tocar una serie de shows que fueron muy bien recibidos.
Un fin de semana, junio del 2009, hicimos un show de 4 horas un sábado por la noche en un lugar llamado Hotel Adams, en Adams NY.
La noche siguiente abrimos un show al aire libre , con varias bandas, en Boneshakers, tocamos mas o menos una hora.
Estábamos cansados, nos sentamos a disfrutar del resto del día. Luego nos dijeron que la banda central terminaría de tocar a las 10 de la noche, por lo tanto necesitaban a alguien que tocara de 10 a 2 am.
Con un karaoke hicimos uno de los shows mas pesados en la historia de Caroline Blue. Se sentía como si nos estuviéramos derritiendo (era junio, después de todo). Casi en el final tuve mareos y estaba comenzando a perder la voz. Sin embargo la respuesta fue increíble, vendimos mucho merch esa noche (y muchas camisetas fueron robadas) y obtuvimos un montón de gente en nuestra lista de correos.
Fue una noche muy dura, pero lo hicimos. Desafortunadamente, estábamos tan cansados que no tuvimos ánimos de sacarnos una foto luego de todo eso!

Caroline Blue is a Melodic Hard Rock band from Syracuse , New York. The band has been described as similar to the style of KISS , LA Guns , Megadeth , Type 0 Negative , Dokken and Chevelle .
It also features vocalist / guitarist Wayne Johnson whom I could make him some questions about the band.
Lilith Beloved : I read that ‘ Caroline Blue’ comes from an advertisement for medical emergencies that dresses in a place where you worked . Have you chosen that name because you liked or were other options?
Wayne : The name ‘ Caroline Blue’ came from a shop that used to work . Codes through an intercom known as ‘ Carolines ‘ . Each ‘ Caroline ‘ had a different color, referring to a type of emergency. Then ‘ Caroline Blue’ to refer to a ‘ Medical Emergency ‘ , the aid must be necessary and immediate . But all this has nothing to do with the choice of band name . Just like the name sounded like me , had been in my head. There were some more names around in my head, but nothing beat better as Caroline Blue .
LB : Caroline Blue seems to be like ‘ your baby ‘ and you said you wanted to get as far as you could . Do you feel satisfied with what the band today after so much effort ?
Wayne : I think it’s okay to say that Caroline Blue is my baby , and I’m the only permanent member. Yes, I’m very proud of what the band has achieved so far. I also like to say that I am grateful for those who have been involved with Caroline Blue and contributed to the band’s progress ( and some of them have helped me step backwards ) .
LB : You said at the beginning that you were involved with music and women What were your bands?
Wayne : When I started with the music , my motivations were peer pressure and women. In college I started to get into music for music. I’ve always been very varied music. My favorite band at the time was ( and still is) KISS. Also listening to Hard Rock / Metal 80s and Top 40 all the time. I’m more into the songs of the artists or bands.
LB : Any experience of the band?
Wayne : Caroline Blue has lots of experience . One is the opportunity we had to play in Ogdensburg, NY in 2009. We played at a club called Boneshakers in which almost always fall over 200 people . We had to play a series of shows that were very well received .
-A weekend of June 2009 , we did a 4 hour show on a Saturday night at a place called Hotel Adams in Adams NY . The next night we opened a show outdoors, with several bands at Boneshakers , played more or less an hour. We were tired , we sat down to enjoy the rest of the day. Then we were told that the central band end up playing at 10 hours, so they needed someone to play 10 to 2am .
With a karaoke did one of the more heavy shows in the history of Caroline Blue . It felt like we were melting (it was June, after all) . Almost at the end I had dizziness and was starting to lose my voice . However the response was amazing, we sold much merch that night (and many shirts were stolen ) and got a lot of people on our mailing list . It was a tough night, but we did . Unfortunately, we were so tired we did not have the mood to take a picture after all that!
