BEST PICKUP LINE GIVEN
I don’t use them. I just try to have conversations and go from there. The closest I ever came to one was after an FLM show where I was talking to this girl while the other guys were loading gear-they hated me that night! 😀 I asked if we could go to her place and she said no cause she barely knew me. So I pulled her close and gave her a long kiss. Then I said,”….Do you know me well enough now?” So what happened? You’ll have to read my book for that one! 🙂

HOBBIES
Outside of music, I’m a huge nerd. I’ve been playing Magic: The Gathering since early highschool and know more about Star Wars than the average-normal person probably should. I also love reading, hiking, tennis, airsoft, video games, and out-of-print miniature wargames.
FAVORITE FOOD
Chicken Wing Dip.
FAVORITE DRINK
Mountain Dew Code Red (it’s the taste of summer).
Corona with lime.
FAVORITE BAND
Genesis
FIRST INSTRUMENT
Guitar. Although it didn’t even have real strings and my hand would never touch the strings on the fretboard. I’d just strum and sing! I must’ve gotten it when I was 5.
FIRST SONG LEARNED
For a talent show when I was in 5th grade, I played a portion of the keyboard solo in Genesis’ “The Cinema Show”. It was a fairly simple melodic part that only lasted about a minute, but it was a huge step for me when I was learning piano / keyboard. I played it on a toy keyboard that was balanced on my lap in a gym full of parents, students and teachers at Saint Mary’s Academy. My peers, many of whom had been taking piano lessons since they had the motor skills to do so, were not impressed.
FIRST RECORD
The Beatles albums. I don’t know which one specifically was first, but it was pretty much anything before Revolver. My dad played them for me when I was four and I fell in love with them. It’s one of the only memories I have of preschool. By Kindergarten, I knew the songs better than my teachers!
FIRST CONCERT
A Beatles tribute band. I don’t remember who they were or where it was. I must’ve been six or seven at the time.
FIRST REAL CONCERT
This one I’m not sure about. I’ve seen so many concerts that it’s hard to determine the really early ones. I remember seeing Mannheim Steamroller really young when I really got into their early Fresh Aire albums. They mainly played Christmas music of course, but it was still a fantastic show.
FAVORITE SINGER(S)
Michael Stipe, Kate Bush, Ian Anderson, Joanna Newsom, Phil Collins, Roger Daltrey, Jim Morrison, James Taylor, Gordon Lightfoot, Annie Haslam, Neil Young, Roger Hodgson, Tom Petty, Nad Sylvan, Ninet Tayeb, Colm Wilkonson, Dan Avidan.

WORST JOB

BEST PICKUP LINE RECEIVED
I don’t think I’ve ever received one.
BEST PICKUP LINE GIVEN
Before my girlfriend and I were going out, I remember we were sitting at dinner and the conversation came up about how many contacts she had in her phone. I seized the opportunity by asking, “Would you like one more?” We’re still happily together all these years later so I guess it worked.
MOST EMBARRASSING MOMENT
Probably pissing my pants at a day camp when I was a kid and not telling anyone. But they knew. They all knew.

Most Embarrassing Moment
When I was a kid, I burned my fingers on birthday candles while attempting to lick the frosting off of them. To this day, my family doesn’t let me live it down every birthday.
