  1. Hi there!

-Here’s a recap of our show last night at The Checkpoint Tavern in Cleveland,NY with special Guests Zadoc…& the Nightmare. Things went pretty smooth before setup. ZATN went on around 10:20-10:30 I believe. It was kinda funny-the sound guy did a sound check for them and then announced a 10 minute break before the show started! So after one song (the sound check) there was a break (HA!). I was actually using that line thru out the night.

-ZATN did a set of their original material and were-as always-very tight & sounding great. They also played some new material from a new CD they plan on recording soon. Good stuff! My favorite out of the new ones so far is “My Dead Eyes”. Also very cool that the crowd here was into them and they got an encore. Looking forward to jamming w/ them again here on 12/13.

-CB hit the stage around 12:15 or so and we blasted thru our set-only threatening from time to time to take a 10 minute break 🙂 Here’s the set list for this evening.

Dirty Deeds (Done with Sheep)-Bob Rivers/Dr.
    Demento
    Nothing Will Satisfy You
Sex Type Thing (Stone Temple Pilots)
    Deny
    Living After Midnight (Judas Priest)
    Love Me or Leave Me
    Slave to the Hourglass
    Paranoid (Black Sabbath)
    I’ve Seen the Light Tonight
    Pain
    Detroit Rock City (KISS)
    Stay
    Wicked Game (Chris Issak/HIM)
    Voodoo (Godsmack)
Out of My Life (I Want You)
For Whom the Bell Tolls (Metallica)
    Locked & Loaded (Halford)
    Wish (Nine Inch Nails)
    Dead or Alive
Get the Fuck Out (Skid Row)

    Encore 1-Breaking the Chains (Dokken)
Encore 2-God of Thunder w/ Zadoc on vocals (KISS)

-It’s funny how-usually-the crowd thins out as the night goes on, but this night, it actually increased! We had some crazy people in the crowd-as you can see by the pics that are up (although not as crazy as Mr. Azriel-who we dedicated our 1st song to-HA!). And yes, you read that right, we got 2 encores this night. I think it’s safe to say the MVP song of this night was Voodoo. CB last played that song back in, I think 2003. FWTBT ,by Metallica, was next on that list. By comparison, Paranoid & Locked & Loaded didn’t get much of a reaction at all.The originals-overall-went over well and there were a number of times where originals were being called out for. That was great to hear. All in all, things went well. Personally, for me, I wish there were more lights (I had a hard time seeing ) but you make due. Also had some horrible tuning problems w/ my guitar at times-they will be fixed. We had a few “I’ll see you at the end of the song” moments, but overall I think we did well. Got to sing “Happy Birthday” again 🙂 One downer was my camcorder was set on SP instead of LP so I only recorded the 1st hour. That won’t happen again!

    – For all of us at CB, I want to thank Kerry, Joell & Ray Ray (as well as all the others) who took pics this night. Thanks to John the sound guy for doing a good job & the Checkpoint Tavern for having us here. Special thanks to Zadoc… & the Nightmare for playing with us. Most of all, thanks to everyone who came out and shared the night with us. It’s deeply appreciated.

-We have a break from the shows this coming week and then we’re back at Schultzies for our very 1st CB only (no opening act) show on 11/28. Please join us! Btw-for those of you who love to collect buttons, come to the shows and get some FREE CB ones! We have a set of 5 different ones and if you collect all 5 & wear them to a show, you’ll get a special gift from us.
    Keep rockin people!
