  1. WWJ Show Recap

Pics of CAROLINE BLUE live @ Fusions in N. Syracuse, NY on Saturday March 20, 2010 (Charleen)

-Hi everyone! Saturday (3/20/2010) found the band opening for The Bomb @ Fusions in N. Syracuse, NY. The place has had a number of changes since we were there last month. A brand new stage had been built w/ a great lights/sound system in place. Much more room as well. The last stage we could barely move on it.

-We were originally told to go on either at 9:30 or 10 so in our promos we said we were going on at 9:30. Once we got everything set up, we were told that the owner of the place wanted The Bomb on stage @ 10:30. With an hour set and change over, we’d have to start earlier. No biggie-we’re flexible (not that way-HA!) so we dumped a few songs off our list and started at 9:15. Here’s what we played

    -Nothing Will Satisfy You
    -Dead or Alive
-Out of My Life (I Want You)
    -Voodoo (Godsmack)
    -Cold Gin (KISS)
    -Pain
    -Dirty Deeds (AC/DC)
    -Seek & Destroy (Metallica)
    -Detroit Rock City (KISS)
    -Love Me or Leave Me
    -Ace of Spades (Motorhead)

-Turns out the The Bomb does many of the same covers we do so we put more originals into the set than normal so as not to tread on The Bomb. Again-we’re flexible and not a problem for us. Honestly, it felt good playing more of our own stuff. We should do that more often 🙂

-The crowd started to get bigger by the time we got through 3/4 of our set. We received a good response from the crowd thruout. We also received a lot of compliments afterwords-which is always nice to hear. We also heard a lot of “sorry we missed you-we thought you were going on later” comments but those things happen. We had a good time and it was nice to see a bunch of familiar faces in the crowd.

-The Bomb went on at 10:30 and played 3 sets of covers-some very cool selections if I may say so. They sounded great and hopefully we’ll be doing some more shows w/ them in the future.

-On behalf of CAROLINE BLUE, I’d like to thank The Bomb for having us share the stage w/ them. Fusions for having us there and most of all the people who were there. We hope you all had a great time this night & keep rockin!
