-Hi there – it’s been quite awhile since I did one of these! Lots of new things in 2022 for CAROLINE BLUE.
-First, as you can see (per se), this website is back up online. Now, let me tell you a few things about / around it…
– One – at this time, the domain redirect / mapping is a tad messed up so it might be hard to see this site, at times, till I get things straightened out. It’s fine at the moment, but just a heads up. It should be all stable within a few days.
-Two – carolineblue.net is very close / similar to the old carolineblue.com site that was up for many years. The old site came down for several reasons and I’m been working (as time permits) on porting that site over to this format. After a few moments of browsing the site, you can tell that there’s some big holes in it. I’d say that maybe 75% of the old site has been ported over at this time. The holes will eventually be filled, but porting over a site this size, on my schedule, has been like moving at a snails pace more often than not and I do apologize for that. During that time, some things might have vanished (like some of the original sites for interviews / reviews) so I’ll have to go thru this site with a fine-tooth comb dozens of times to check. For example, the old CAROLINE BLUE Pics pages were all hosted on a site in France and when they when down, everything had to be re-built from scratch. I’ll be working on it though and doing updates (as time permits)…
-Three – You may have noticed the URL for this is “carolineblue.net.” I own both .net and .com for the band and I made a decision awhile back for CAROLINE BLUE to have two sites (one for my ego? – HA!) 🙂 “carolineblue.com” will be focused on the band’s current line up. It will also be more streamlined and modern. “carolineblue.net” will, basically, be the old site – which is this gigunta “baby” with a lot of text, media, info and history (going back to 2000 – 2001 (!) ) of the band. Basically, if people only want to check out the current doings of the band, go to .com (the site being in a work in progress currently). If you want to check out the history and / or get info on the band and it’s various lineups and such, go to .net.
-Four – in case you didn’t know, 2022 has a brand new lineup for CAROLINE BLUE! The band is myself (Wayne W. Johnson), on Vocals / Guitar, Ned Greenough on Keyboards / Vocals, Juliana T. Jacobsen on Bass and Jay Woodard on Drums. You can check out more about them on the BIOS and FACTS N STATS pages. We’ll let you know when the .com page is online and will be doing a hard launch of that, which will also include .net as well.
-Five – Yes, you read the above right; CAROLINE BLUE now has a keyboardist in its lineup! We’ve all been working on the songs from “Slave to the Hourglass” and Not For The Innocent” and, while they’re still the same songs in many ways, in other ways they’re not. The songs now reflect the current lineup and what each member brings to the table. We’re also looking to get some shows booked as well as making / releasing new recorded music / music videos before 2022 ends and beyond.
-Huge thanks to all who still support and continue to hold up the flag of CAROLINE BLUE. There’s A LOT of things in the works and we’re looking forward to making them all a reality. We can’t wait till you see what we have in store. Wishing you all the best and keep rockin’!
