-It’s been 3 years since CAROLINE BLUE last played at The Doghouse in Utica, NY. As one of over 130 bands to play at The Utica Musicfest last weekend, CAROLINE BLUE arrived at The Doghouse ready to go! This was Andy Gore’s 1st show with CB and he, as well as the rest of the band, did a great job with a set of all CAROLINE BLUE originals! CAROLINE BLUE 
-Hi Everyone! It’s the day after the show and what a weekend this was! The show went pretty good-which I’m glad considering what I had to go thru leading up to the show! I’ll get to that in a moment…
-Here’s the skinny on the show. CB played at The Doghouse in Utica NY yesterday in the afternoon. The last time CB played The Doghouse was back around 2005 I think. We decided on this show to go full out w/ the originals & just have some fun. Here’s the set list..

-Not a huge crowd here, but we got a good reception by those who were there. And we had to do something right cause we sold some CDs! The set went off pretty good IMHO. I made a few little errors on a few songs, but I was pleased overall with my performance-as well as with that of the other guys. We’re still in the process of getting tighter as a band, but we’re off to a good start. Plus we got a lot of pics from this show-which are now up here on the CB My Space page! This was Andy’s 1st show with CB and he did great-as did Joe. Sadly, no one brought any cabbage to the show so we’ll never know how much better he would’ve done had there been some there.

-We also got to network with a number of bands-before us were The Blisterz, Smart Alex & The Willy Kramer Band. We also networked at the Hotel Utica and at a few of the other bars. Hopefully it won’t be too long before we’re back in Utica again.
-Now,as for what happened to me before the show earlier in the week…How’s this…My car has been in the shop twice the past few weeks. Last week the muffler started dragging on the ground. Luckily I was at Andy’s and a neighbor helped us out. I’ll be the 1st to admit I’m pretty inept when it comes to cars. On Friday the other muffler is basically starting to drag on the ground so I’m heading to get the backup car and the car breaks down on 481. It had to be towed away so that whole process was fun (sarcasm mode off). Then the day of the show I smash my thumb trying to load my cabinet into the backup car. We’re to meet at Joe’s before the show. Just before I get there, the tailpipe for this car starts dragging on the ground-and quite loudly I might add! We got that fixed after the show thanks to an extra bass string from Mr. Gore.
Gotta love it!
